Whew! Now that we have that out of the way, the next question to ask is, "What color IS emerald?" Followed closely by, "And what goes WITH it?!"
The helpful folks at Pantone have lots of looks at this great & versatile color, Emerald, including some great examples of it's shades and tones. One of the trends that I feel will continue—and that I'm excited about!—is the popularity of peacock/aqua/blue as a primary or secondary color for weddings this year. It's a perfect fit with Emerald! See -- look at these feathers! (Of course, anything with feathers in it is awesome in my book...just sayin'!)
Fashion-wise, here's a great look at ways to incorporate Emerald —and other shades of green — into your wardrobe this year.
As far as incorporating the color into your wedding, you know I'm already game for peacock feathers! But beyond that, we have an amazing variety of gorgeous flowers — roses, hydrangeas, orchids, & berries to name a few — in all shades of green that give you so many options to mix & match. I love to see shades of green paired with a neutral, such as navy, gray or chocolate.
Ok, I've harped on the feathers long enough...BUT — don't be surprised if you see us showcasing a fabulous bouquet featuring Emerald green AND peacock feathers at the Salem Bridal Show later this January!
